Multiple fire departments responded to a barn and silo fire at a farm northeast of Baldwin off 90th Avenue late Friday afternoon. Fire personnel evacuated as many cows from the barn as they could, but it's estimated 25 were unable to get out. Sarah Nigbor / RiverTown Multimedia play button

Girl Scouts from Troop 56177 recently completed their Girl Scout Bronze Award by making catnip strawberries that were donated to Bobtown Pet Clinic in Roberts. The fifth grade Junior Level SCC Girl Scout Troop 56177 delivered the strawberries in person. Troop 56177 members earn Girl Scout Bronze Award

                               On Tuesday, May 1, the Friends of the Friday Memorial Library donated $1,800 to the Friday Memorial Library. The funds will be used to purchase materials for the library’s Lucky Day collection, and will also help fund the Adult Summer Reading Program. Hazle Cain woke up on Thanksgiving Day 2017 to sewage in her basement on East Fourth Street in New Richmond. Cain was one of four households affected by the backup and one of three that received money in a settlement with the City of New Richmond to help pay for the damages. Submitted photo
