Store opens on busy NR intersection

General manager of Advanced Auto parts in New Richmond, Erin Hase, does the honors during a ribbon cutting ceremony July 17 hosted by the New Richmond Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors.

Advance Auto Parts Inc. has opened a new store on one of the busiest intersections in New Richmond.

The commercial lot at the corner of Knowles Avenue and Fourth Street has been empty for decades, but now is bustling with activity.

Advanced Auto Parts, 346 S. Knowles Ave., held a ceremonial ribbon cutting ceremony on July 17, with the help of the New Richmond Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors. The store opened for business July 11.

Advanced Auto Parts sells vehicle parts, batteries, accessories and maintenance items, among other things.

"Things have been going really well so far," said General Manager Erin Hase. "The community seems to be really excited that we're in town."

Company officials said they chose this location for the store because it's convenient to where their customers live, as well as the garages where they take their vehicles for repair.

Hase works with nine other employees at the New Richmond location. A nine-year veteran of the automotive and retail sales industries, Hase has been with the Advance Auto Parts team for a year.

The new store offers customers a wide range of parts and recognized national brands, as well as several free services. Employees will install windshield wipers for free and also install batteries following a complimentary check of the vehicle's electrical system and old battery.

The store offers parts delivery to local commercial customers such as professional mechanics and garages. Customers also can drop off used motor oil and batteries for recycling, ensuring that these materials don't end up in landfills where they could harm the environment.

"Advance Auto Parts is committed to bringing our promise 'service is our best part,' to life not only for our customers, but also in the communities where our customers and team members live," Hase said.

The store is open Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Headquartered in Roanoke, Va., Advance Auto Parts operates 3,969 stores in 39 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
