ACCESS adds to clinical team

ACCESS, Inc. has announced the hiring of another clinical team member, Juanita McCabe, LPC, CADC.

She will be working at the ACCESS, Inc. New Richmond office. McCabe earned her masters of science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in 1992 and is licensed as a professional counselor and has certification for treatment of chemical dependency.

McCabe treats adults, adolescents and children with various mental health and/or chemical dependency issues. McCabe's specialty area is in treating children, especially children who have experienced trauma through abuse, natural disaster, or parental loss. McCabe continues to receive advanced training in the area of Sandplay Therapy and uses Sandplay Therapy in her practice.

McCabe is also an active member in advocacy groups within her profession, including president-elect of the Wisconsin Mental Health Counselor Association and is a board member of the Minnesota Sandplay Therapy Group.

In her spare time, McCabe likes to sew for relaxation and likes to garden and work in her yard. A favorite activity in the summer months is spending time tent camping outdoors.
