Friday Library Column: Many movies based on books premiering in 2018

Jessica LaPean

I'm sure you've heard the saying, "Never judge a book by the movie." The movie Wonder was released in theaters on Nov. 17, and we haven't been able to keep the book written by R.J. Palacio on our shelves lately. In fact, there are still over 90 holds on the 52 copies in the library system. We even placed a copy on our Lucky Day shelf and have been excited to see it circulating regularly. So, in case you are looking for a few new books to kick off the new year, the library staff would like to suggest these titles which will be released on film in the first half of 2018. Just go to more.lib.wi.us/ to place your holds. We've even sorted them by movie release date so you'll know which ones to pick up first.
