giveBIG St. Croix Valley set for April 24

giveBIG St. Croix Valley, an online fundraiser, returns Tuesday, April 24. The event returns to Amery, Osceola and St. Croix Valley but it is also expanding this year to include New Richmond, Somerset and surrounding communities.

While giveBIG St. Croix Valley happens in 24 hours, donor investment will have a lasting impact in the communities. In the past five years, Amery, Osceola and St. Croix Falls raised more than $970,000 for 71 nonprofits. Donations help organizations with vital projects and programming that change lives.

"giveBIG St. Croix Valley is focused on more than just the 24 hours of giving," said giveBIG Development Director Jessica Neumann. "Strong communities are created by individuals empowering one another. giveBIG St. Croix Valley gives each individual the chance to become a hero within our community by supporting his or her favorite cause."

giveBIG St. Croix Valley is not possible without amazing individuals coming together with the common goal of wanting to improve and empower each other.

"We encourage everyone to give what they can," Ann Searles, executive director of United Way St. Croix Valley said. "All donations are a big gift to our community. Any individual or business may donate."

Make donations online from midnight to 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24. If you are out of town on April 24, you can make a donation in advance at giveBIGSCV.org.
