Somerset Library: Renew Campaign seeking new volunteers
The Renew Somerset Library Campaign launch ignited a surge of giving since its campaign event at St. Croix National Golf & Event Center on March 22. The campaign has now raised $1,106,983 from 143 donors.
"Our campaign steering committee is still working hard. However, we are looking for additional people to visit with potential donors," said Rita Lawson, campaign co-chair and library Board of Trustees treasurer. "More individuals are waiting to be solicited than we currently have trained volunteers to help solicit. A new division of campaign volunteers will receive a brief training to assist us in visiting with people about the important goals of this campaign."
An informational meeting for the next stage of the campaign is planned for Thursday, May 24, at 5 p.m. in Room A123 - Learning Center, District Office, Somerset School Campus. Anyone interested in helping with solicitations can R.S.V.P to Kay Walsh at firstname.lastname@example.org or attend the meeting.
"This campaign is an appealing opportunity when you consider how much this facility is used by residents and how much our expanded library has to offer to help attract families and businesses to our area. What facility in Somerset gets as much use as our beloved library?" said Walsh, campaign co-chair and Board of Trustees president.
