A beautiful day for a parade greeted spectators Saturday, June 9 as they lined the streets in Somerset for the Lions Club annual Pea Soup Days Parade. Grand Marshals Kay Walsh and Rita Lawson were able to draw a little added attention to the library expansion project. The Bridge Bible Church float garnered plenty of first place votes while the Somerset Dance Team outworked the combined team from OSI Physical Therapy and The Training Room. Somerset mascot Sparty pumped the crowd up before members of St. Paul's Winter Carnival cooled them down.
