New Richmond ReStore holds ‘Upcycling Contest’

Customers of Habitat for Humanity’s New Richmond ReStore have a chance to exercise their creativity for a chance to win a prize.

The New Richmond Restore is holding an upcycling contest. It will run April 1 to May 29.

The rules are simple: take an item purchased at any time from the New Richmond ReStore and re-purpose it into something new. Take a before and after shot, along with a short description of the process and materials used, and submit it to the New Richmond ReStore by May 29.

A panel of judges will evaluate the entries based on creativity, imagination and practicality. The winners will receive a ReStore gift certificate and have their creation prominently displayed on the New Richmond ReStore Facebook page.

  • The prizes are: First place: $75 gift certificate
  • Second place: $50 gift certificate
  • Third place: $25 gift certificate

To enter, fill out an entry form at the ReStore, or email assistant manager Brenda at Brenda.berner@scvhabitat.org with your name, email, phone number, and the main component you purchased.

The New Richmond ReStore is located at 901B N. Knowles Ave. in New Richmond, and can be reached by phone at 715-246-4441.
