Deer hunting seminar with Fred Abbas scheduled for Sept. 9

Fred Abbas, nationally recognized authority on whitetail deer will be giving a seminar at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at Hazel Mackin Community Library in Roberts.

Living in Wisconsin means you either are a deer hunter, you're married to a deer hunter or your family has deer hunters. With that said, many of you have been hunting for decades and you might assume you already know everything about it.

Fred says "Every single person who attends this seminar will walk away a much more talented hunter."

Besides that, I've never met a hunter who doesn't love to share hunting stories so call the library and plan on bringing a friend to this special fall event. A light lunch will be provided.

Play & Learn at Hazel Mackin Community Library will be held 10:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesdays, Sept. 12 through Nov. 14. For more information visit frcscv.org. To register, call Family Resource Center St. Croix Valley at 715-684-4440 beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 28.

Story Time is just around the corner-starting Sept. 11, every Monday and Wednesday, from 10:30-11:15 a.m. Brittany has been busy planning themes, crafts, sensory bins, music and lots of fun learning for your little ones. It's so helpful to get back into a routine of story time with friends who are learning lots of lessons of sharing, sitting quietly and listening, verbal and nonverbal communication.
