Clouds held the sun at bay for most of the afternoon Saturday, while residents showed up at New Richmond Area Centre for their eighth annual Corn Fest. Luckily the mountain of hot buttered sweet corn was not ready before the 5K Run/Walk kicked off at 9 a.m. It was ready however by 10 a.m. when families began arriving at the Centre to enjoy a lot full of bouncy houses, face painting, balloon magic by Pickles the Clown, mascot madness, feats of strength at the Strong Human Competition and fun at the Splash Pad.
