Town Board Meeting
Wednesday, December 4, 2013
Chairman Schachtner called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. at the Town Hall. Present were Germain, Demulling, Plourde, Rauch and Schachtner. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Clerk’s & Treasurer’s Report: Motion by Plourde, seconded by Rauch to approve the November 6th meeting minutes. Motion carried. Motion by Germain, seconded by Demulling to approve the November financial report. Motion carried.
Planning Commission Report - Harold Schachtner - 1 Lot CSM: Motion by Plourde, seconded by Demulling to approve the 1 Lot CSM for Harold Schachtner as presented. Motion carried.
Parks & Rec Committee Report: Brief meeting discussing 2014 calendar and some maps.
Building Inspector’s Report: Motion by Plourde, seconded by Rauch to approve the Building Inspector’s report. Motion carried.
Animal Control Report: Motion by Germain, seconded Demulling by to approve the Animal Control report and to send a letter to Joshua Hansen regarding his dog running at large and no dog license. Motion carried.
Fire/Rescue Commission Report: Plourde read the report from Belisle. 29 calls in November. 355 calls so far in 2013 compared to 345 in 2012. Report on grant and equipment updates needed. Motion by Demulling, seconded by Germain to approve the Fire/Rescue Commission report. Motion carried.
Old Business - Price for Trenching Water to Rock Sign: Discussion on putting a faucet on the outside of the Town Hall and an industrial strength hose/hose reel.
New Business - Appoint Election Inspectors for 2-Year Term and Set Rate of Pay: Motion by Plourde, seconded by Demulling to appoint the following election inspectors with the pay set at $11.00/hour – Renee Rivard, Wendy Demulling, Myrna Plourde, Renee Carufel, William Lawson, Rita Lawson, Janet Mondry, Deborah Wolf, Audrey Witting, Shirley Higgins, Marin Hansch, Garry Fay, Marsha Anderson and Margaret Cook. Motion carried.
Operator’s License for Richard Salsbury: Motion by Germain, seconded by Rauch to approve an Operator’s License for Richard Salsbury. Motion carried.
Discussion on DNR Hunting Regulations & Rifle Zone: Demulling expressed concern about the statewide rifle zone and safety.
Consideration of Developer’s Agreement: Consensus to proceed with creation of this document.
Special Meeting w/County Staff Regarding Zoning - Wednesday, Dec. 11th, 9 am at Town Hall
Transportation & Facilities Committee Report: Schachtner gave brief report on equipment issues.
Meeting adjourned at 9:30 pm.
