ST. CROIX COUNTY
NOTICE OF OPEN HOUSE
ZONING ORDINANCE COMPREHENSIVE
REVISION OPEN HOUSE
St. Croix County has begun the process of updating its zoning ordinance, which regulates the use and improvement of land in most unincorporated parts of the County. The goals of this process are to make our ordinance consistent with current state laws and legal standards, to establish zoning districts and regulations that fit the varied needs of towns across the county and to make it easier for all users to understand and apply the ordinance.
This process is being coordinated by the County's Community Development Department at the direction of the County Board. The County has contracted with a team of consultants led by MSA Professional Services, Inc. to assist with the ordinance revision project.
On Tuesday, October 17, 2017 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., St. Croix County will host an introductory Public Open House at the St. Croix County Baldwin Agricultural Services and Education Center, 1960 8th Avenue, Baldwin. This open house will introduce the County Zoning Ordinance Comprehensive Revision project and will be the first of several opportunities to provide public input regarding the current ordinance.
Visitors will be able to view exhibit boards providing information on elements of the County zoning ordinance. County staff and consultant representatives will be present seeking input and answering questions.
This process will take about two years to complete. Approximate schedules and updates regarding the project can be found on the County website at www.co.saint-croix.wi.us
