Adeline Rose Kobs, age 82, died Sept. 7, at St. Croix Health Center, in New Richmond.
Adeline was born on May 24, 1931, in Farmington, Wisconsin. Adeline graduated from Osceola High School and was employed at Brown & Bigelow in St. Paul, Minnesota, and later at the Bank of New Richmond.
On May 29, 1953, she was united in marriage to Roger Lewis Kobs. Throughout her married life, Adeline was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting, cooking and gardening. Her greatest joy came from being a proud Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.
Adeline was preceded in death by her husband Roger in 1997; her parents, Leo and May Neumann; siblings Earl Newmann, and Mary (Joseph S.) Rivard all of Somerset.
She is survived by many loving family members: Dave (Donna) Kobs of Somerset, Rod (Pat) Kobs of Star Prairie, Corrine (Jim) Hahn of New Richmond, Tom (Chris) Kobs of Deer Park, Ken (Susie) Kobs of Aurora, Colorado, Rita (Craig) Mitchell of Englewood, Florida, Angie (Bob) Molls of Amery, and Marlin Kobs of New Richmond. Adeline was grandma to 17 grandchildren and six 6 great-grandchildren.
Her siblings left to grief her include: Eugene (Rose Mary) Newmann of Hudson, and Verna Hoverman of Rochester, Minnesota; sister in law, Betty Neumann of Somerset, Wisconsin.
Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at Immaculate Conception Church, New Richmond. Visitation 4-8 p.m. Thursday, at the Cullen Crea Funeral in New Richmond and also one hour prior to the service at the church. Please join the family for a luncheon which will be served immediately after the Mass in the church basement. Interment will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in East Farmington following the luncheon. Father James Brinkman will be officiating. Music provided by Barb Peterson & Anne Anez.
Grandsons serving as her pallbearers and honorary pallbearers include: Michael Kobs, Chad Kobs, Aaron Kobs, Adam Kobs, Brian Hahn, Bobby Hahn, Mitchell Kobs, and Jacob Molls
Granddaughters who will assist in the funeral service include: Amy Veenendall, Melissa Wiederhoft, Chelsey Duffney, Amanda Kobs, Anna Molls, Sarah Molls, Danielle Breault, Maddy Kobs, and Lilly Kobs.
