Albert Kelly Jr., 68
Albert Raymond Kelly Jr., 68, of New Richmond, Wis., passed away very peacefully at 5:05 a.m. Friday, July 19, at his sister's home in Lacon, Ill., after losing his fight with cancer.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Monday, July 22, at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee, Ill. Cremation will be accorded and inurnment will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, at Pleasant View Cemetery in Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to OSF Hospice or to the American Cancer Society.
He was born Feb. 12, 1945, in Kewanee, the son of Albert Raymond and Caroline Margaret (Frantzen) Kelly Sr. Survivors include three sons, John Michael (Kim) Kelly of Amery, Wis., Albert Eugene (Michelle) Kelly of Boyceville, Wis., and Todd Willam Kelly of Menomonie, Wis.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Marsha Hicks (Dick Weers) of Lacon; two brothers, Daniel (Maureen) Kelly of Cocoa, Fla., and Robert (Deb) Kelly of Neponset, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and a sister.
Albert was a machinist and electrician for Bosch Packaging Technology Inc. (Doboy) in New Richmond for 26 years. He also was the financial secretary for Local 1217 International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers District 77 until shortly after his 2001 retirement. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in New Richmond and was an avid Chicago Bears fan.
