ALERT: Wind chill advisory issued for St. Croix County
The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for St. Croix County and the region. The advisory is in effect from midnight tonight (Monday) to 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Increasing northwest winds tonight will combine with falling temperatures to create dangerous wind chills of 25 to 35 below zero.
A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
