MADISON - Two St. Croix Central wrestlers moved on to the quarterfinals after winning their prelim round matches in WIAA State Wrestling Tournament Thursday evening at the Kohl Center.

Cody Nyhagen's reversal late in the third period overturned a 3-2 deficit to Sheboygan Falls's Mitchell Lambrecht and led to his 4-3 victory at 160 pounds in Division 2.

Teammate Kyle Aaby added to a 3-2 lead in the first period with a second period escape. He then rode out West Salem/Bangor's Tyler Shrake in the third period to win 4-2 at 182.

SCC's Carl Moll, as sectional champion, was byed into the quarterfinals. He will wrestle fellow senior Clay Fitzpatrick (45-4) of Viroqua at 170 pounds Friday. The matches get underway at 11:15 a.m. Nyhagen will take on another senior in Marinette's Jadin Bovin (40-1) while the senior Aaby will wrestle Waupun senior Brady Huenink (36-1).
