Another big rig to head through region overnight
Yet another semi-truck carrying an oversized load will be heading through the region tonight escorted by two Wisconsin State Patrol vehicles.
The semi will be hauling a dryer for an ethanol plant is scheduled to leave from Waukesha Wednesday morning and head up I-94 to Black River Falls.
It is expected to arrive in Black River Falls about 10 p.m. Wednesday night.
After a short stay there the rig is expected to continue up I-94 to Elk Mound arriving there between midnight and 1 a.m. on Thursday.
The truck will then head up Highway 29 to Chippewa Falls and then onto Cameron on Highway 53.
From Cameron the semi will head along Highway 8 to St. Croix Falls. It is expected to reach St. Croix Falls sometime between 2 - 4 a.m. Thursday morning.
Due to its weight, the truck must slow to 5 mph at several bridges and overpasses. The truck with its load is approximately 200-feet-long and 16-feet wide.
