Appleton man to be sentenced for seeking sex with young girls on MySpace
A man from Appleton is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 10 for seeking sex from young girls on the Internet.
Winnebago County prosecutors say they'll recommend 4-6 years in prison for Ryan Clewell, 26.
But the judge does not have to go along with that, and Clewell faces up to 175 years behind bars.
He pleaded no contest this week to seven charges of soliciting children for prostitution.
Authorities said Clewell used a false name on MySpace, where he offered up to $600 to a half-dozen girls from Neenah to have sex with him.
His lawyer blamed post-traumatic stress disorder Clewell suffered after serving two tours of duty in Iraq.
