Exploring Caregiving Techniques, a four-part series. This month's topic is Behaviors and Communication. Discussion will include connecting through verbal and non-verbal communication, exploring symptomatic behaviors and sharing strategies to address those behaviors in daily caregiving. The St. Croix Valley Youth Court is seeking volunteer youth between the ages of 12 and 17 to serve as members of Youth Court. Court personnel, including the judge, advocates, bailiffs and jurors are youth. A training session will be held on Jan. 17 for volunteers. The St. Croix Valley Youth Court is an alternative court that serves first-time offenders between 13-18 who have been referred by a municipal judge. Bethel Lights For The Cure - Relay for Life will serve breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. at Applebee's Restaurant in Hudson. Tickets, available at the door, are $6 per person with all proceeds from the breakfast and the silent auction going to Relay For Life - American Cancer Society.
