ATV train crash results in fatality
Early this morning (Wednesday) an ATV driver was struck from behind by a train on the tracks near Cylon east of New Richmond.
There is little information available at this time, but the ATV driver was apparently killed when hit by the train near County Road O. The accident occurred around 6 a.m. this morning.
The St. Croix County Sheriff's Department was first to arrive at the scene. The Department of Natural Resources and the New Richmond Area Ambulance and Rescue Service also responded to the crash.

He said Field Conservation Warden Paul Sickman responded to the call and relayed information to him that the victim was on the tracks when he was found. He also said the train traveled about a half mile before coming to a stop. Hausman stated that the Sheriff's Department is handling the investigation as they were first to arrive at the scene.
