Badgers could spoil Michigan State's Rose Bowl hopes
Michigan State is still playing for a Rose Bowl bid and the Spartans hope to go 5-1 in the Big Ten when they host Wisconsin on Saturday.
Michigan State is coming off its first victory at Michigan in 18 years and the Spartans are just 1-4 in the week after they've beaten the Wolverines over the last 20 years.
Michigan State Head Coach Mark Dantonio says his team does not shy away from talking about a possible New Year's Day game and all the goals they've set last winter can still be attained.
Michigan State is 7-2 overall and they'll play a Wisconsin team that's 4-3 overall, and 1-4 in the Big Ten.
Meanwhile, Dantonio says his team is cooperating with an ongoing probe into an off-field fight that injured Michigan State hockey player A.J. Sturges earlier this month. He says media reports have wrongly implicated some of his players in the incident. No charges have been filed.
