Bartkey convicted in sex assault case

A former Somerset woman was convicted and sentenced to jail in the sexual assault of a young man nearly two years ago.

Valerie Marie Bartkey, 26, St. Paul, pleaded guilty to two counts of battery, criminal damage and two counts of disorderly conduct July 17.


Judge Howard W. Cameron ordered Bartkey to serve 30 days in jail, probation for three years and 100 hours of community service. She was also fined $1,268.
