Betty Lou Kahler, 80
Betty Lou (Harer) Kahler, age 80, of Emerald, Wis., died on Saturday, June 7, surrounded by her loving family.
Born April 12, 1934, in Ladysmith, Wis. Graduate of New Richmond High School. Betty was united in marriage to Robert Kahler on Dec. 24, 1957, and their union would be blessed with two children.
Homemaker. Bird watcher. Flower and vegetable gardener. Farm wife. Mom, grandma, and great-grandma. Family meant the world to Betty.
Survived by loving husband of 56 years, Bob Kahler; children, Bradley (Rita) Kahler, and Roxanne (Butch) Kiekhofer; grandchildren, Jessica (Ryan) Rugg, Justin Kiekhofer, Heather (Tim) Adams, and Amy Kahler; great-grandchildren, Savanna Rugg, Devin Adams, and Pheonixx Kiekhofer; brother, Fred Harer; and sisters, Darlene (Ralph) Bader, and Beverly (Paul) Larson.
Preceded in death by parents, Henry and Cora (Cook) Harer; brothers, Marshal, Douglas, DuWayne, and Henry, Jr.; and sister, Dorothy Harer.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 11th at St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Erin Prairie, 1880 County Road G, in rural New Richmond. Visitation one hour prior at church. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
