Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City Administrator of the City of New Richmond until 1:00 p.m., July 31, 2008, at the office of the Clerk/Treasurer, City of New Richmond, 156 East First Street, New Richmond, Wisconsin 54017 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud, for the furnishing of all labor and material for the improvements at the Dowd Lift Station. Major items of work include:
Remove existing pumps, pumping equipment, electrical control panel, and associated electrical interior wiring.
Remove existing dry well access cover, remove intermediate level concrete floor in dry well structure, and cut openings in interior concrete divider walls.
Furnish and install submersible pumps, discharge piping, valving, valve vault structure, connection to existing force main, pump controls and control panel electrical connections, and all other work for a complete installation.
Bids shall be on the forms provided for that purpose and according to the Contract Documents prepared by Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. located at 421 Frenette Drive, Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, 54729 dated July 10, 2008.

Bid security in the amount of 10 percent of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
Bids shall be directed to the City Administrator, securely sealed and endorsed upon the outside wrapper, "BID FOR DOWD LIFT STATION IMPROVEMENTS."
Contractors on the project shall be required to comply with the minimum wages in effect for the State of Wisconsin.
The City of New Richmond reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract in the best interests of the City.
