Bruce Evan Green, 63
Bruce Evan Green of Osceola, Wis., formerly of West Fork, Ariz., died Friday, Dec. 5, 2008 at Osceola Medical Center after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was 63.
Bruce Evan Green was born Sept. 12, 1945 in Plainview, Minn. to Phillip "Flip" and Jean Green. At age 15, Bruce lost his father and played a major role in running the family business. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1963 and continued working in the wood working business until his battle with cancer began.
Bruce had many hobbies; he enjoyed woodwork, fishing and football. He was a member of Southside Bass Club. He was a very active father involved in coaching baseball, Boy Scouts and Watch Dog Dads. He was an avid Minnesota Vikings football fan. He loved playing games and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, JoEllen "Joey" and son Zachary at home; sons, Phillip and wife Christine Green and Nick Green, both of Wichita, Kan., and Cody and wife Kristin of Oklahoma City, Okla.; daughters, Peggy Arseneau and husband Joe of St. Cloud, Minn., Pam Wagner and husband Steve of Rochester, Minn., Heather Maddan and husband Neal of Prairie Grove, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son Jerry John "J.J."
Viewing was Tuesday, Dec. 9, from 4-6 p.m. Services were held at Beard's Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville, Ark. on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Brian Bowermann officiating. There will also be a memorial held in Osceola on Friday, Dec. 12, at 2 p.m. at United Methodist Church.
