“This year, we have some new crafts for the kids to do, but we also still have the hay ride which everyone loves,” said Business Manager Michelle Getschel, who is in charge of this year’s Spooktacular. “We will have a lot of the same things we have always do for the Spooktacular, like the haunted house. That is another thing everyone loves every year.”

The Centre is teaming up with Westfields Hospital for the event, which will also feature the AKF Martial Arts Academy as a special guest. The event is free to Centre members and $5 per family for community participants.

“We will also have the cake walk again, that is another thing everyone loves,” Getschel said. “There are going to be concessions open throughout the whole event which will give the kids a chance to have lunch while they are there, too.”

The Spooktacular will also feature an obstacle course, castle jumpers and many other spooky games for the kids to play.

Even though Getschel has been in charge of the Halloween event for just two years, she can understand why the event has made it for five years.

“The attraction for a lot the kids is that they get the chance to come in from the cold and be warm while getting the opportunity to dress up in their costumes,” Getschel said. “Another thing that I think the kids like is the fact that they can show off their costumes and get candy as well.”

For more information on the event, contact Michelle Getschel at 715-243-0852 or mgetschel@nrcentre.com.
