THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW RICHMOND DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 121-372(e)(2) shall be amended to read as follows:
Sec. 121-372 Permits.
(2) Any sign erected, altered, moved or structurally modified without a permit or with a permit but in violation of the provisions of this article shall be removed at the owners expense or brought into compliance within a reasonable time, as determined by the Building Inspector. If the violation is failure to obtain a permit, a permit fee shall be required and the permit fee shall be double the normal fee. In the event that the owner does not remove or bring the sign into compliance the Building Inspector is hereby authorized to cause said sign to be removed. In addition, any person, entity or company violating any of the terms of this article shall forfeit not less than one hundred dollars ($100.00) nor more than two hundred dollars ($200.00), together with the costs of prosecution, provided that any violation which can be corrected within a reasonable time, as determined by the Building Inspector, shall constitute a separate violation for each day in which the violation exists, and shall be subject to penalties provided herein.
This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage and publication as provided by law.
