St. Croix County residents: Don't miss out on the Tire and Appliance Collection on Saturday, June 1. Take advantage of this great opportunity to get rid of unwanted tires and major household appliances for a small fee.

TIRE COLLECTION

There will be four locations around the county collecting tires. There is a small fee associated with each tire. Tires up to 16" without the rim are $2 each, with the rim $4 each. Tires 17" - 22" without the rim are $4 each, with the rim $8 each. Tractor tires are $15 each, heavy equipment tires are $20 each, and bicycle tires are 50 cents each.

--City of Hudson (285 Krattley Lane, North Hudson) 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

--Town of Hammond (Town Hall/Recycling Center, 1816 Cty Rd E, Hammond) 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

--Town of Richmond (Town Hall/Recycling Center, north edge of Boardman) 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

--Town of Troy (Recycling Center, 277 Townsvalley Rd) 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

APPLIANCE COLLECTION

There will be three locations around the county collecting major appliances. Recyclable appliances include, but are not limited to, air conditioners, clothes washers, clothes dryers, dehumidifiers, dishwashers, freezers, grills, humidifiers, microwaves, electric/gas ranges, electric/gas stoves, refrigerators, trash compactors, vacuum cleaners and water heaters. The fee for most appliances is $5. ELECTRONICS will NOT be accepted at the appliance collection.

--Village of Woodville (Behind the United Fire Hall, 216 River Street) 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
