Deborah Kay Krueger of New Richmond passed away on April 11, 2009 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. Minn. The loving arms of Deborah's family surrounded her; she was 49 years old.

Deborah was born in Amery on Sept. 27, 1959, the daughter of Orvin and Ruby (Everson) Luehman. She married Thomas Krueger on Dec. 3, 1977 and together they shared 31 years of marriage.

Deborah graduated from Osceola High School in 1977. She was a stay-at-home mom to her three beautiful daughters until going to work.

In 1986, Deborah was hired at Westfields Hospital (formerly Holy Family Hospital) where she would continue working for the next 23 years. Along with working full time, Deborah was an active member of West Immanuel Lutheran Church where she served for many years on the church council. She also gave her time and talent teaching Sunday school, singing in the choir and being a Youth League Advisor.

Deborah's many hobbies included traveling with friends, antique hunting with her husband, shopping, but what she liked most was spending time with her girls.

Deborah was preceded in death by her grandparents, Florence and Werner Luehman and Louise and Edwin Everson.

Deborah is survived by her husband, Thomas; three daughters: Jessica (Michael) Gessner of Minneapolis, Emily (Michael) Hayman of St. Cloud, and Amanda Krueger of New Richmond; parents, Orvin and Ruby Luehman of Osceola; brother, Dennis (Nancy) Luehman of Amery; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Beebe Mortuary in New Richmond. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday April 15, 2009 at West Immanuel Lutheran Church in Osceola, with Pastor Rexford Brandt officiating. Organist was Laurie Neumann and soloist was Laura Jo Jarchow. Interment was in the West Immanuel Church Cemetery.

Arrangements were with Beebe Mortuary of New Richmond.
