Deer Park seniors conduct send-off

Following the noon meal at the Deer Park Senior Center on Thursday, May 23, farewell messages were given to Carolyn Weisenberger, who has served on the Senior Center Board for several years. She is moving to Utah to be near her children.

Janice Thompson, Senior Board president, spoke about knowing Weisenberger for many years and working with her on the board. Sandy Gehrman also spoke about working with Weisenberger.

Then Thompson played a special recorded song for her.

A huge cake displayed "Farewell to Carolyn, Happy 60th Anniversary to Glen and Pat Shilts, Happy 85th Birthday to Ann Stuntz, and 27th Anniversary of the Deer Park Community Center."

Ice Cream and cake were served and Chuck Cabella played his accordion.
