Estelle K. Egan, 91
Estelle K. Egan, age 91, died Tuesday, April 28, 2009, in Eau Claire, Wis., at Sacred Heart Hospital.
She was born Oct. 18, 1917, in New Richmond, Wis., to Estelle (Goodman) and William F. Quinlan. She was a legal secretary in the office of Doar and Knowles in New Richmond.
She married Jean F. Egan in Monterey, Calif., on Feb. 20, 1943. They lived in California two years during World War II while her husband was stationed there. He was an instructor in field artillery in the Army. While there, she was a secretary in the Post Engineer's Office at Fort Ord. In 1948, they moved to Eau Claire.
She is survived by two daughters, Estelle (Gale) Douglas, Oconomowoc, Wis., and Mary Jeanne Egan, Eau Claire; three sons, Robert (Susan) Littleton, Colo., John (Sherry) Coon Rapids, Minn., and James (Laura) Eden Prairie, Minn.; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jean F. Egan, on Aug. 4, 1983; her brother, Raymond Quinlan; and her sister, Genevieve Green.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
