FBLA team attends state
New Richmond Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) members traveled to Wisconsin Dells on April 15-16 to compete at the State Leadership Conference. The conference started with a motivational speech by Albert Mensah, who was raised in Ghanna, Africa and now travels the world spreading words of inspiration and motivation.
The two-day conference featured workshops and tours for members to attend to increase their business knowledge. Members also competed in various business related events. While participating at the conference students were able to raise money for the March of Dimes through a Miracle Minute. Members also had the opportunity to network with chapters from around the state.
Any student who placed in the top two or three, depending on the event, earned the right to compete at the National Leadership Conference. This year's National Leadership Conference is being held in Anaheim, Calif., on June 27-30.
All New Richmond FBLA students represented themselves and their school with pride and integrity. Kennedy Kling and Alex Charbonneau finished third in management information systems. They missed qualifying for nationals by one place. Charlie L'Allier finished third in business math and now moves on to nationals in Anaheim.
