Two Somerset High School students demonstrate the use of the pottery wheel during the Fine Arts Festival at the Somerset Middle School.

Art lovers, music afficionados and people who just enjoy an evening of local culture attended the Fine Arts Festival at Somerset Middle School on Thursday, March 4.

"Music! Just Imagine. . ." was the theme for the festival, which featured grades 5-12 bands, grades 5-12 choirs, grades 5 and 6 general music and grades 5-12 art displays.

The celebration started at 6:30 p.m. with performances in the gymnasium by the fifth and sixth grade bands, and in the Great Room by the seventh and eighth grade choirs. Performances carried on throughout the two hours, while the visual art display was in the commons area.

The visual art display featured everything from ink drawings, to paper mache, to sculptures.
