First hole-in-one notched at New Richmond Golf Club
The warm spring has resulted in some of the earliest opening dates ever for local golf courses.
And now it has produced one of the earliest hole-in-ones ever recorded in the area.
Dennis Lass of New Richmond knocked in an ace on Saturday, March 27, at the New Richmond Golf Club. It came on the 186-yard hole #3, using a 3-iron. NRGC manager Ross Johnson said there are no records for the earliest ace, but said this has to be one of the earliest ever.
The warm spring resulted in one of the earliest openings on record at New Richmond Golf Club. The driving ranged opened on March 16 and The Links couse opened the following day. The New Richmond Golf Club's 18 holes were opened to the public on March 23.
