Four Packers are fined for roughness and socks in win over Detroit
Four Packers were fined for various actions in last week's win over Detroit. Spencer Havner got the biggest penalty, $7,500, for a horse-collar tackle on Lions' running back Aaron Brown on a fake punt.
Havner said he would appeal the fine, claiming he had two hands on Brown's shoulders.
Havner was not called for a penalty. Guard Daryn Colledge and receiver Donald Driver were each fined $5,000 for unnecessary roughness calls.
And running back Ryan Grant was hit with a $5,000 fine for wearing white socks instead of the normal green at Minnesota Oct. 5.
Grant said the white socks looked better with the pink cleats he wore for breast cancer awareness and he knew there was a chance he could be fined.
