Grandma's Marathon attracts large group of area runners

A large group of local runners took part in the 2013 Grandma’s Marathon on Saturday. The race course took the runners from Two Harbors, Minn., to Duluth. A total of 5,613 runners completed this year’s 26.2-mile race.


A number of local runners turned in personal-best times in the race under cool conditions along Lake Superior. The top finisher among the local runners was Joy Keller of Deer Park, who finished the trek in 3:19.42.
