Harvest Moon Barn Dance to benefit free medical and dental clinics
The Kinnickinnic Health Foundation's annual Harvest Moon Barn Dance on Saturday, Oct. 4 will benefit the foundation's newly established "Access to Care Fund."
"This fund will support programs that help people in our region access the health care services they need to get and stay healthy," said Heather Logelin, executive director of the Foundation. "This year, the Barn Dance proceeds will go to the fund and will be designated to support the Free Clinic of Pierce and St. Croix Counties and the Pierce County Public Health Department's school-based dental program for low-income children."
"The mission of the foundation is to raise and disburse funds to enhance the health and wellness of the communities we serve," said Logelin. "We are very excited that the proceeds of our annual Barn Dance fundraiser are committed to programs that expand access to health care."
This year's Barn Dance is on Saturday, Oct. 4 at Westridge Farms, just outside of River Falls. The event features great food, a silent auction, raffles and live music. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Sponsorship opportunities are available, and donations are being accepted for the silent auction and raffle. The event is planned by local volunteers Mary Conroy-Johnson, Pam Deal, Julie Gore, Mary K. Johnson, Michelle Johnson, Polly Kleven, Keri Lijewski, Donna Miller and Greg Peters.
