Heritage Days celebration a big success
The 2010 version of the New Richmond Heritage Days went well. The weather was favorable and the crowds big for all of the events.
The weekend kicked off Friday night with a spaghetti feed. Saturday there was a running race and a kids triathlon.
Sunday is always the biggest day, with the Heritage Center's historic buildings opened and various demonstrators on hand to re-enact days gone by. Civil War re-enactors were on hand for the first time this year, and their canon shots were a big hit.
Plenty of ice cream and penny candy, as well as bratwurst, were served up during the day.
