Heritage Days race attracts hearty runners

Strong winds and threatening skies didn’t scare away a group of hearty runners from competing in the 2013 Willow River Run, held as part of New Richmond’s Heritage Days on Saturday.

Alex Anderson of New Richmond produced an impressive finish in the 5-mile portion of the race, winning with a margin of more than three minutes.

Nick Radle of Hudson won the championship in the 5K race, with 15-year-old Dan Ender of New Richmond placing second.
