Human trafficking bill goes to Doyle

Overnight, the Assembly gave final legislative approval to bill that makes human trafficking a felony.

The Senate passed the measure Wednesday and it now goes to Gov. Jim Doyle.

Anyone caught holding adults against their will for sex, labor or other services could get up to 25 years in prison and fines of up to $100,000 and those trafficking children would get up to 40 years behind bars.
