The St. Croix Central Elementary School gym echoed with the beat of jump ropes thumping the floor on Friday, Feb. 28, as this year’s Jump Rope for Heart event was under way.

Third- and fourth-graders participated in the fundraiser to raise money for the American Heart Association. They raised more than $15,500 toward their cause, SCC physical education teacher Brenda Simone said.
