Kenseth takes 8th at Toyota-Save Mart 350
Matt Kenseth of Cambridge finished eighth Sunday night at NASCAR's Toyota-Save Mart 350 in Sonoma, Calif.
He moved up two places to 12th in the point standings - giving him the last spot in the Chase for the Sprint Cup if that event were to begin Monday.
Kenseth has rallied from a mediocre start this season. He now has ten Top-10 finishes in 16 races - only of only five drivers in double-digits.
Travis Kvapil of Janesville placed 22nd on the Infineon road course. He remains 18th in the season point totals.
Paul Menard of Eau Claire took 34th Sunday night. He dropped one spot for the year to 26th.
