New Richmond Wisconsin 127 South Knowles Avenue 54017

The Salvation Army's 2009 Kettle Campaign is falling a bit short.

According to Duana Brewer, director of Grace Place/Salvation Army in Somerset, the goal this year was raising $100,000. As of Monday, Dec. 21, they have raised $75,000.

Last year, the Kettle Campaign raised $94,000 overall.

"I'm a little concerned because if we don't at least match last year, we will have to turn families (in the St. Croix County) away," Bremer said.

The campaign ends December 24. Donations can be sent to the Salvation Army, 203 Church Hill Road, Somerset, WI 54025.
