La Crosse teen pleads innocent to posting nude photos of teen girl on MySpace
A La Crosse boy has pleaded innocent to charges that he posted two nude pictures of a 16-year-old girl on his MySpace Internet page.
Alex Phillips, 17, was ordered to stand trial Wednesday on charges of possessing child pornography, child sexual exploitation and defamation.
Phillips was arrested after the girl told Janesville Police she saw her nude photos on MySpace on May 17.
She testified by phone Wednesday, saying she took the photos herself and e-mailed them to Phillips this spring.
Her mother called police once the girl found them online. Phillips' public defender tried to stop the girl from testifying, and moved to dismiss two of the charges.
The judge turned down both requests. Phillips' next court date has not been set.
A new judge will hear it, as the result of a realignment of caseloads.
Phillips, meanwhile, is being held under a $1,000 cash bond.
