Letter: Name mix-up gets a little clearer
To the Editor:
Wow! I guess to start off I have to apologize to Mary L. Jensen.
I'm really sorry for the mix-up. I am Mary P. Jensen. The one who put the Christmas village in the window of the New Richmond Chamber of Commerce a couple of years ago.
And yes, I am the one who wrote about trying to keep this beautiful city clean and beautiful. I don't have a passion about it, I just want to do my part in keeping the city clean.
But I also have to say I only wrote that article twice. (The editor of this column printed my article a couple of times without my knowledge).
But if my facts are right, it is a city ruling, you have to keep your dogs on a leash when walking them, and carry a poop bag, and use it. I also think there is a fine if you don't.
If I'm worrying you, let me know. It's just common courtesy to respect other people's property, and City property for that matter. So I'm not going to harp on it any more.
Again, apology to Mary L. I know there are three or four Mary Jensens in New Richmond.
Mary P. Jensen
