Libby Ann Lee, 59
Libby Ann Lee, age 59 of New Richmond, Wis., died on Thursday, May 21, at her daughter's residence with her loving family at her side.
Libby was born on July 12, 1949 in New Richmond, Wis. Libby was one of seven children born to parents Willard Irvin and Elizabeth Mary (McDermott) Lee. Libby attended country school at the Wagon Landing Elementary School and high school at Amery High.
On Aug. 14, 1965 at a ceremony in Des Moines, Iowa, Libby would be married to Ronald A. Baillargeon. Although their marriage later ended, their union in marriage would bless Libby with her daughter, Sheila, and her son, Doug.
Libby would further her education at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College in New Richmond, and later at Inver Hills Community College. She worked as both a court reporter and a legal secretary before finding her niche as a real estate appraiser. Libby founded and operated her own company, Lee Appraisal, serving all of St. Croix and Polk County, as well as other portions of the greater western Wisconsin area. As an appraiser, Libby was not only licensed and certified, but also professional, courteous and well respected amongst her colleagues in the real estate business.
Outside of her work, Libby enjoyed spending time flower and vegetable gardening, golfing, cooking, baking, crocheting and sewing, and with her Shih-Poo dog Lizzie. Libby was a great mom, and an even better grandma. Libby loved her grandkids! She closely followed Tessa and Adam in all their different sports and activities, and loved being their most dedicated enthusiast. Libby's presence in the lives of her family and friends will be greatly missed.
Libby will be missed by her daughter, Sheila (Jim Marty) Baillargeon; her son, Doug Baillargeon; her grandchildren, Tessa Marty and Adam Marty; her sisters, Mary (Tom) Larson, Janet (Joe) Miller, and Mona (Brent) Arneson; her brother, David (Deb) Lee; her former husband, Ron Baillargeon; her best friend, Angie (Dick) Simon; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Libby was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Jimmy Lee and Steven Lee.
Mass of Christian Burial for Libby Lee was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Somerset, with Father Ronald Serraro officiating. Interment will follow at St. Anne's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation was held one hour prior to mass at church on Tuesday, and from 4-8 p.m. on Monday at the O'Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson.
