Lighting ceremony honors loved ones
ADORAY Hospice will hold its annual Love Light Tree Ceremony at Westfields Hospital, New Richmond, on Tuesday, Dec. 2, at 6:30 p.m., followed by a reception hosted by Westfields Hospital Auxiliary.
Everyone is welcome. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held Tuesday, Dec. 9.
The Love Light Tree ceremony brings the community together to remember loved ones that have passed away or to honor those special people in our lives.
Beautiful Love Light trees twinkle brightly for the holiday season at Baldwin Area Medical Center, Hudson Hospital, River Falls Area Hospital and Westfields Hospital in New Richmond.
"Holidays, and especially Christmas, can be a difficult time for a family that has lost a loved one," said Dorothy Armstrong, ADORAY bereavement coordinator. "This has become a family tradition for some and can be the start of a tradition for those newly grieving."
To remember or honor a special person in your life, dedicate a single light with a minimum donation of $10. A $100 donation will dedicate an entire string of lights. Love Light Tree donations benefit ADORAY Hospice patients and their families in St. Croix, Pierce, Western Dunn and Polk counties.
ADORAY Home Health and Hospice is a not-for-profit program of St. Croix Valley Shared Services Inc., owned by the four hospitals in St. Croix County including Baldwin Area Medical Center, Hudson Hospital, River Falls Area Hospital and Westfields Hospital, New Richmond.
