Lloyd N. Amundson, 92

Lloyd Norville Amundson, age 92, a lifelong New Richmond resident, died Sunday, May 11, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minn.

He was born the son of Otto and Carrie (Stoveren) Amundson on Jan. 12, 1922. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked for Dunn County Highway Dept., City of New Richmond and many years for Fridays Canning Co. - retiring in the late 70s.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Carrie; siblings, Abner (Gladys) Amundson, Wilford (Alice) Amundson, Evelyn (Stanley) Peabody, Goldie (Harry) Husby, and Orville (Netta) Amundson; nieces and nephews, Kenneth Amundson, Wilbur Amundson, and Sylvia Huntsinger.

He is survived by nieces and nephews, Sandra (Philip) Hansen, Sharon (John) Handorf, Larry (Donna) Amundson, Carol (Larry) Sylte, Sharon Amundson, and Kathy Frisle; great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 16, at Bakken-Young Beebe Chapel in New Richmond. Visitation will also be from 10-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the West Akers Cemetery in Prairie Farm, Wis.
