Lorenzo Cain starts rehab at Brewers' camp in Phoenix
Brewers' center-field prospect Lorenzo Cain is recovering from a severe knee injury in April, when he played for Double A Huntsville.
Assistant general manager Gord Ash said Cain has started a rehab regiment at the Brewers' camp in Phoenix and he'll soon go to the Class A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.
Ash says Cain will also get some extra batting experience after the season in the Arizona Fall League.
Meanwhile, Rattlers' infielder Steve Braun, the brother of Ryan Braun, is expected to miss the rest of the season after breaking an ankle in a recent game for Wisconsin.
Timber Rattlers' outfielder Chris Dennis also had a major ankle injury in that same contest. Ash says he could be out for six weeks.
