Marie Agnes (Brion) Quale, 91
Marie Agnes Quale, age 91, of New Richmond, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, Jan. 8.
Daughter of Otto Mike Brion and Sadie (Gunderson) Brion, Marie was born on Nov. 22, 1922.
She was united in marriage to Harold Bernhard Quale, on Nov. 11, 1944. Their union would later be blessed with six children: Larry, Judi, Pat, Nancy, Diane, and Barb. Marie and Harold were known in the Hudson area for their decorating business. They enjoyed nature, whether by spending time bird watching, in the garden, or on long drives.
Marie was a gifted seamstress, sewing clothing and wedding gowns for her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook. Her family will remember her for mastering, and training many of them, in the art of Lefse making.
Marie will remain in the hearts of her husband of 69 years, Harold; her children: Pat (Charles) Deal, Nancy Quale, Diane (Joel) Edin, Barb (Tim) Bailey, daughter-in-law Karlene Quale; grandchildren: Greg Quale, Suzie Dettmann, Sarah Greifzu, Todd Lee, Cary Lee, Lori Miller, Tracy Deal, Joey Edin, Kara Grubis, Megan Blanton, Katie & Connor Bailey; great-grandchildren: Olivia & Jack Quale, Madelyn Dettmann, Sam Greifzu, Kristina & Katie Lee, Kelsey, Brendan & Bradan Lee, Paityn Deal, and Kinsley Blanton; and step great-grandchildren: Shannon & Sera Greifzu, and Stephanie Miller.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; son, Larry; daughter, Judi; grandson, Kristopher Lee; and siblings Raymond, Gordon, Ruth, John, Floyd, and Walter Brion.
A Memorial Service will take place 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, at O'Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment Willow River Cemetery, Hudson.
